4th year film idea
I promised myself I'll do something fun for my final year. I want this to be a more character driven film rather than a story driven film like my two previous films were. I'm not sure what my story will be, but I have a character I would like to work with...

Breakfast Cluuuuub part 1
So I was watching Breakfast Club earlier and the main characters rock. My favorite one I enjoyed drawing the most was John Bender! I think I'm stuck in an 1980s-1990s haze of stuff, and the music from those decades make me want to draw more stuff related to that time period.

Noi chitat, Jongo Longo, Ai chitata!
Some fanart for that old 90's cartoon network show, Pirates of Dark Water!
It was a pretty cool show, and still is to me. My favorite character is Ioz the treasure hunter, so I drew him the most.
Sonic the hedgehog
I think the first sonic game I ever owned was that racing kart game for the sega game gear. Now those were the days!

Fist of the north star (hokuto no ken) fanart
So I've been watching a lot of retro anime lately. I'll probably do some fan art based off it, and give a summarization of my thoughts about the anime I am talking about. Recently I watched fist of the north star, so here's a drawing I did.
What's it about: Dudes with glam rock hairstyles and shoulder pads... using their martial arts to out-do each other with whatever martial art each uses - set in a post apocalyptic future.
My opinions: It's f*cking awesome. It's been hailed as one of the most manliest movies ever, and it deserves such a title. I really did fall in love with the characters of this anime, and drawing them was a lot of fun. I feel like doing more because all the characters are awesome, but I did the three that show up pretty much every episode.
Here is the opening sequence:

Animation Demo Reel
Mostly consisting of stuff from my third year film!
There's a clip that reveals Wolfsong was originally supposed to have dialogue (voiced by Karen Kahler) but for the storytelling sake, I took it out and made the film more pantomime.
Lucien Dodge voiced the hunter (in the reel he exclaims DIE! but I changed it to efforts)
Check out my story portfolio here!

Wolfsong
Here is is! My third year film, wolfsong!
Here is a film that I had the most difficulty working with.
It's a suspense thriller!
A mother wolf breaks into a hunter's den and takes back her cub, only to find it a motionless trophy. She sings a lullaby hoping that her cub will sleep. Little does she know that they are stalked by a young hunter back from the den.
A film that had way too many problems! Both story and animation related... It kind of shows sadly :( I hope I come to the 4th year more prepared.

Wolfsong Screenshots
Well, I recently finished my third year film, Wolfsong. Definitely the most difficult film I've worked with due to the many story problems and changes I had to make, so that might show during its release to the internet.
While my 2nd year Crayon Dragon was whimsical, "cute, and magical, this film is more down to earth, dark, and moody. Wolfsong focuses on a recurring lullaby, so that adds to the short film's haunting nature. It is also more of an action thriller, so I don't think anyone should expect much aside from this.

Cafe Sketches
Since I've started working in my apartment on my film, its been hard to keep up the momentum. Watching the sky so dark all alone in the apartment is one of the most quiet and boring experiences yet. To catch a glimpse on human life, I usually bike to Denny's which is about two to three blocks away from where I sleep.
Also here are some doodles.

Update Feb 27
A visual development piece I did for my film, this was done during the start of the semester but I'll post it now to see how the final film ends up changing.
Bad animation frame.
