Been sketching characters for possible third year film idea...
I'm not sure what kind of film I want to make, so I'm still tapping into that. I'm not sure if I want something funny, moody, whimsical like crayon dragon, or action.

I'll give it more thought.

Sketches and shape experimentation for another dialogue musical lip sync I might tackle. If you guys remember that god forsaken John Travolta animation test I did, I want to try Olivia Newton John's side. In the movie in this song/sequence, her hair is like all over the place and doesn't exactly fit the 50s era (more like the 60s since it was a 70s point of view of the 50s) so I wanted to make the shapes of her hair in between the start of the movie and the end of the movie.

Just me trying to find shapes before I tackle this test!

Some drawings I just did today. Need to keep my mojo and continue to get better. I made it as a finalist for the disney animation internship, but I did not make the internship - so I'm working hard to have things prepared to atleast gain an internship.

My third year better mark something, so I'll work and see how that goes.

Just moved out

Private Detective Hammer.
Kiss me Deadly is probably my favorite Noir film so far... The characters, the style, and the fear of the nuclear war, its great stuff. But there is definitely a lot more to check out.

Also, here are the color thumbnails I prepared when tackling the background and colors for my film. I definitely have the Blue and Green curse. Although there are blues, I wanted to emphasize Green Orange and white, and the use of a shamrock (although I accidentally referenced the clover leaf more) to represent the irish flag. A little fact: My film does take place in Ireland. The murals are heavily inspired by celtic art.

My 2nd year film. Sorry to those I disappointed throughout the year.
Its about a girl who sinks in an illustrated painting, and befriends a
painted dragon who has a missing wing.

There are dogs too - though not for my film.

Well, another film year is done.
Screengrabs from a short film I recently completed. It's definitely a more subtle film than "Serenade to Miette", and as far as I'll go, a more 'cutesy' film. I hope it gets a welcome response when it is out.

Erik - Phantom of the opera

Just a sketch I did a while ago and decided to color parts of it. This is Erik from Phantom of the Opera. I kind of felt like drawing this after listening to the songs from the release of the musical sequel, "Love Never Dies".
